A large meeting held under the Huispices of alio Protestant Political Association to-night- passed a resolution protesting against the finding of the Past Office Commission in that it was against the weight of evidence, and that the evidence disclosed that the censorship on Box 942- was unwarrantable and that the censorship operated in the interests of the Roman Catholic Church. Tlie meeting also protested' against the refusal of Cabinet- to appoint a Supreme Court Judge to conduct the enquiry and demanded that the Government should immediately remove the censorship from Box 912. DUNEDTN, Oct. 15.—Samuel Croggan. an Imperial gunner on board, a steamer at- Port Chalmers, has been missing since 11 p.m. on Saturday. Tbe watch on an adjacent steamer heard a splash , about 11.30. Oreggan’s clothes were found on the vessel.
