SALE OF WORK.
The' Sale of Work at All Saint T Schoolroom yesterday afternoon and evening proved a distinct success, realising £7f>, which should lie very encouraging to the ladies responsible for its organisation. A .notable feature was the excellent little musical programme rendered, the attention to which each item was favoured being a- hopeful sign that music is coming back into favour again. The following was the musical programme:—Solo. “Fairy Pipers,” Airs Rtavely ; quartette, “A Bowl of Roses,” Mrs Staveley, Miss Stapleton, Mrs do Berry and Mrs Ward; rounds, “Christchurch Bells,” “Old Chairs to Mend.” and Glee, an Evening S OII K- Choir.
The lady members of tile congregation, as the result of months of labour, bad gathered together a, great’ collection of fancy and plain sewing and useful articles, which met with a very ready demand. Tile stalls: Plain, Fancy, Produce. Lollie. Tearoom and Fish Pond, were well e’ 1 --- esnecinlly the Produce Stall, which was sold out. CON TI NE ED TO-NIGIIT. Tim Sale of Work in the All Saint Schoolroom, which was, begun yesterday. will be continued this evening. There is a good and varied stock of useful articles left on both tile Work and the Fancy Stalls', which will lie offered at very reasonable prices. Home-made sweet!; and other delicacies can be obtained at the Sweet Stall. The Refreshment Room will he open during the evening.
