The Morning Post’s Jassa correspondent states Bulgarian emissaries in Switzerland havn made proposals for a separate peace with Roumama, offering to restore Dobrudja and guaranteeing they will not make demands at Rou mania’s oxpense, at the final peace settlement.
Bulgaria is uliso making overtures in other directions.

Tho State Department lias published series of 'telegrams showing Count Bernstorff asked Von Jagow for 1,700,000 dollars for an unnamed man, who would (guarantee political action in nne enemy country ensuring peace. Von Jagow agreed to the loan but only if action in direction of peace was really serious, adding that if the encfmy country was Russia to drop tho project, as the sum was too small : and would have no serious effect there. Similarly in Italy, where it would not be worth while to spend so much money. Beirnstorfl's next message recoinmendod the holding of nino million ! marks at the disposal ol Hugo feehzdt ! os the affair was most promising. I Ho later advised the Foreign Office that the intermidiary had requested ! that influence be exercised upon the ; press in regard to the changes in the political situation in France, in order that the thing may not he spoiled by German approval. Von. Jagow sometime later telegraphed to Bernstorff asking if there was any more news of 8010 Pasha on your side.
