Air. Arthur Lee has donated Chequers Court Mansion and estate of 2,200 acres at Chilton Hills to the nation, as an official country residence for the British Prime Minister.
Hon. Lloyd Gdorgw on Rehalf of the country has accepted the generous gift, which included an endowment to cover the cost of n permanent staff of servants, and keeping up of tho gardens and repairs. The Pifrlc k)i includes thoj ruins of an ancient stronghold belonging to
.Cymbelino and the reputed birthplace of Caractacus.
