Now that Greymouth is going to bo more intimately associated with Westland in matters political, as also licensing, a mutual bond ol’ union, will no doubt, be fostered. The influence of the citizens of Greymouth can be very helpful to Westland, as vice versa the* people of this district can assist the northern borough. When the political union is consummated there might be the opportunity to bring the people together, or at all events representatives of a large body of them, at some public gathering whereat the good feeling which should prevail tor tho mutual advantage of the district might be cemented. This is a matter in which the public men of each district could work to advantage, and it would bc a most harmonious commencement to begin by some such public gathering as is here suggested.
