Massey made a brief statement regarding the recomniendation of the Representation Commissioners. In the South Island, Selwyn, Central Otago, and Motuckuk seats disappear. Tn tlie North Island, there are three new seats Mainuvatu, with Foxton as tin 1 centre, another with Rotorua as the ’ centre and also one in Auckland suburb (Roskill). House met at 2.30 p.m. In reply to a question, the Premier siii . lie intended to submit to Cabinet proposals under which frozen meat from the stores could be purchased by the public at the same price as was paid for it by the Imperial Government. SOCIAL HYGIENE BILL. Hon CL AY. Russell moved the second reading of the Social Hygiene Bill, a measure for preventing the spread of venereal diseases. The Bill was read a second timu on the voices, after a lengthy debate. THE 28ths ARRIVE. The Minister of Defence announced the remainder of the 28th reinforcements had reached their destination safely. There was now only one New Zealand transport at sea carrying troops. The House rose at 9.45 p.m.
