SELL’S CIRCUS.
Bell’s Circus arrived yesterday afternoon, and opened on Case Square in the evening. Tn spite of tho weather there was a large attendance present, and hearty applause was given the various events. These include a clever aog, monkey and cat item by Kadgean, Sultan the educated horse, who gave a clever exposition of answering sums put by the audience ; a troupe of performing dogs, introducing Tohv, who sbrnorsnulte ibackwards; an exposure of conjuring, Trixy, the smallest trick pony, hat throwors nnd spinners. Tho bubking pony Dot caused roars of laughter for its manner of getting rid of its riders. Jacklea with his jokes and sayings caused great amusement, keeping the ring lively. The buckjumpers was another good item, and the promise for to-night is exceptionally good, when special features promised. “Saving the Colors” was a clever finale, of horse-training— ; the manner in which tho boric carried out its pnrt being very clever. The whole of the entertainment was a good one, and well worth visiting. TO-NIGHT. The circus shows to-night tor the Inst time, with a complete change of programme, including buck-jumpitig contests and prizes for best boy rider. Stafford trill be visited an Thursday.
