LADIES LITERARY CLUB.

RESULT OF AIONTH'S EFFORT ACKXOWIJiDOM EXT OF DONATIONS. On Satm/dny last ilio Literary Club hronght to a rinse its effort on l,e?'nil: of the Lady Liverpool Trench Comforts Fund. The total amount handed in by tin's Club to the Lady Liverpool Committee, including cash donations and monov received from the sale of goods donated, amounted to £l5B 17/7!, The Club wish again to thank most heartily all those who gave so willingly to enable Chris! mas and Master parcels to be seat to the front ; also they wish to thank Air Preston for the use of the corner shop on children’s day and the (! iai:i>iax officials for their lei ml ness in printing any locals required. In this connection the Club beg to say that the lists of gifts in kind have been kept as fully as possible, hut that in the hurry of receiving and selling goods at the same time, some names may have been inadvertently omitted.
