The Council met at 2.30 p.m. PUBLIC TRUST AMENDMENT.* Tin> Public Trust Office Amendment Bill was further considered in committee, read thirdly und passed. THE HOUSE. The'House met at 2.30 p.m. MEN OF 43 YEARS. Replying to Dr. Thacker, Sir James Alien said it was not intended to send men of 43 to 45 years of age out of the country with the forces. WORKERS’ COMPENSATION. .Mr. Walker introduced tho Workers’ Compensation for Accident Act Amendment Bill. After a dicussion lasting the greater part of the afternoon the Bill was read a. first, time. EVENING SITTING. ' WAR PENSIONS AMENDMENT. At the evening sitting the House went into Committee on the War Pensions Amendment Bill. A discussion on the first clause lasted till 2 a.m., when the House rose.
