A meeting of the Trustees of the Hokitika Savings Bank will be held on Tuesday next'at 2.30. p.m. The Dark Town Processional Concert on Saturday night in nul of tho Rod Cross Fund promises to provide very enjoyable entertainment for the people of Hokitika. Parents are invited to bring all licit' children out and give them a real Saturday night treat. The children will ho pleased to help again. Their knowledge of the war news and tho doings of our boys is surprising and they aro keen to lend a hand.

Tho Lady Liverpool Society are kindly holding off for the benefit of the Red Ctosr Funds this week, and the public are invited to also help in tho way of supplying nny thing saleable—articles of any description, eggs, vegetables, produce and preserves, etc. etc. left at Mrs Heennn’s boot-shop will bo gladly received and disposed of on Saturday by the Red Cross Committee. Think of the enormous cost of providing hospitals and staffing and stocking them, to enable our brave boys to be carefully gathered up in the dressing stations, hospitals and convalescent home, doctored nnd nursed, and for) back to henlth again, and help us to continue to carry on this humane >md indispensable arm of the British Red Cross work. <
