TO BAPTIST MINISTERS' RESOLUTION. [I>KK I'KKSS ASSOCIATION. —COI’TIIIGIIT.j WELLINGTON, September 21. The Auckland Baptist- Ministers’ Association by resolution the other day referred to Mr. Isitt’s condemnation of the Rev. Howard ElWs methods of attacking the Roman Catholic Church with their unmit-igatcu t-eprohation. Mr. Isitt replies in the following terms: —“Gentlemen, —I note your unmitigated reprobation. That reproha-, tion attaches no disgrace to me • 1 very sorry that a numbo rof Christian men can bo carried away bv religious prejudice as to justify such methods and such statements a:; those adopted by Air. Elliot. The spirit that , readiljy swallows such awful charges - against catholic nuns and priests is - clearly not the spir t of Christ. I do not like being at, variance with you but I certanly prefer to bear your eonft demnaton than to he guilty of your spirit.”
