A very old resident of the district named William Fairbairn, died at Reefton hospital on Saturday. * Deceased for many years was mining in Maori Gully, near Reef ton, where he met with sl fair amount of success. In later year he was attacked with rheumatism, and some time ago was taken to the hospital where lie remained until his demise.
