Our troops are consolidating theii j new positions at Progradonn. The booty includes a big Austrian howitzer. HAIG’S OPERATIONS. (Received this tiny at 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 15. General Haig reports Londoners car ried out successful operations north ward of Invernoss Copse. We capture; an onomy strong point at little cost. The Durhams successfully raided west ward of Clierisy. Our casualties were slight. Portuguese repulsed raiders in the neighbourhood of Xeuvre Chapelle. The onemy left a number of dead and wounded. We repulsed, without loss, raiders south-ward of Armentieres. Despite cloudy weather and the wind favouring tho onomy our airmen dropped bombs on the rail station northward of Charleroi railway station, billots and encampments nearer the line. Wo brought down nine machines, and four of ours are. missing.

German-official: —Wo are pressing the Mayors of Alsaco and Lorraine towns, to organise meetings and petitions demanding that Alsace-Lorraine remain German.
FRENCH OPERATIONS. ’(Received this day at 1.20 a.m.,) LONDON, Sept. 15. A French communique reports violent artillerying at Laffaux Mill and right of the Meuso. The French successfully, destroying observation posts and dugouts. Four German aeroplanes were destroyed in aerial combats.

Sir Dougins Haig reports:—Enemy raiders entered the trenches eastwards of Bulleeourt but were driven out. Wo repulsed a strong attack northeast of I.angemarek with heavy enemy losses. Wo successfully raided in the neighbour hood of Oppy. . ENEMY ATTACK FAILS.

Sir Douglas Haig reports:—lVo improved our position eastward of Westhoek. An -enemy attack m the ground gained north-eastward of St. Julien failed. Hostile artillery is active northward of Langemarck.

Sir Douglas Haig reports: We successfully operated north of Inverness Copse and made other successful raid
this morning, which resulted in several prisoners being taken.
ARTILLERY ACTIVE. LONDON, September 15
Sir Dougins Haig reports: We progressed and secured prisoners in the neighbourhood of the Winnipeg Cross Roads north-east of St. Julien. The enemy’s artillery is active in the I,ens sector and there is considerable reciprocal artillery activity eastward of Ypres. Despite the weather our aeroplanes dropped eighty bombs on the enemy’s billets eastward of Lens, and machine gunned (troops in the open and in trenches. Three ot our machines are missing.
