Von Eckhardt, replying to enquiries as to the allegation ho liad recommended the German Government to decorate Cronholm, the Swedish Charge d’affaires, heatedly denied that he had recommended the decoration for services to Germany. i Oronholni is no longer Swedish Charge but is still in Mexico City. He refused interviews.

Gyilfo Andentyerg, Oronholm’s successor professed ignorance of the entire matter as also did tho Mexican Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
