U. BOAT BATTLE.
(Received This Dav at 11.25. a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept, 11.
The Navy Department announces that a battle lias been fought between a fleet of American merchantmen and six submarines. One submarine is believed sunk and two vessels lost. It is believed there were, no casualties of Americans.
