The River Hoards Amendment Bill was received with amendments and the Council decided to take its committee stages to-morrow. After the Revocation of Naturalisation Bill had been briefly explained bv Sir Francis Bell, the Bill was reau a second time.
Tt was decided to commit it to-mor-row. « At 2.-10 p.m., the Council adjourned.

The Minister of Internal Adairs, in answer to Air. Poole said it was not necessary to hold an inquiry into the fire, on an oversea vessel, the shin was on fire when it reached port, and it was considered it was due to the spontaneous combustion in the coal shipped either in England or Cnited States, probably the latter. SECOND DIVISION.
Sir .Tames Allen stated that he hoped that the Second Division would not he called up until December or January after the combing out.of the First Division rejects.

FINANCE’ BILE PASSED. Sir .Joseph Ward moved the third reading of the Finance Bill. During his speech he said as a result of the experience, in raising tin* war loan in the Dominion, he thought the practice would be good for many years to come would be to raise our loans locally. During his speech Air. Hornsby deeared that as Government had increased the cost of living, when they were pledged to reduce it, he would withdraw his support from the National Cabinet. . . JA
After a lengthy debate, the third reading was carried on the voices and the Bid was passed. The House rose at 11 5. p.m.
