FRENCH REPORT.
LONDON September 6. A French communique states:
Aft of a violent- bombardment the Germans launched two attacks on the Californie Plateau which were repulsed. There are lively artillery dues on both banks of the Meuse.
BRITISH AVIATORS BUSY. LONDON, Sept, 6th
Sir Douglas, -Haig reports: Artillery activity continues on the Ypres front. Enemy aeroplanes bombed various places, including a hospital area, causing a few casualties. We brought down a raider. Our aeroplanes and balloons co-operated with the artillery yesterday despite vigorous attacks secured a record number of photographs of which many are of places great distanoes behind the lines The enemy aeroplanes were disinclined to fight except well to the east of the lino. We brought down thirteen. Seven of ours are missing.
