The total to the war loan so far compiled is over £2,000,000 and several subscriptions have yet to come in. Ihe amounts passed through the hanks amounted to approximately £1 .'OOO.OOO, and the , Post Office £50,000. Large subscriptions were made by the Now Zealand and South British Insurance Companies, each £IOO,OOO, which are not included in the bank’s total.
