At the Police Court, Wong Doo « Chinese storekeeper was charged as being tho occupier of premises used as a common gambling house. He was fined £75 and costs. SUPREME COURT. AUCKLAND, Aug. 20. At the Supreme Court Justice Stringer fined Willian Gordon £2OO for perjury in the civil case in the Magistrate’s Court in which tho defendant was sued for the sum of £25. MORE PARTICULARS. CHRISTCHURCH August 20. Captain V. C. White-Parsons-who commanded tho Turakina is a single man and as born in Lyttelton. He is the son of Mr, T. A. White-Parsons Bishop of St. Albans. Arthur Francis McFarlane, who pleaded guilty in the lower Court to breaking and entering a dwelling, was sentenced at the Supreme Court to five years detention for reformatory treatment. , T
