Our troops attacked in the morning on both banka of the Meuse, with magnificent dash. * Early reports show that this new Battle of Verdun is developing to our advantage on a front of eighteen kilometres, from Avocourt Wood to north of Bezon Vaux. Many prisoners were taken, and the bravery of our men was beyond praise. ON A FOURTEEN-MILE FRONT. r ADMIRALTY—PER USELESS FRS».J LONDON, Aug. 20.
