TO-MORROW (WEDNESDAY) NIGHT.
Owing to the Princess Theatre being engaged for if local function on Thursday night Pollard’s next picture display. will he given on Wednesday evening when the tornado of the screen Douglas Fairbanks will he seen in the splendid Triangle story “The Americans.” “A jewel' set in the girdle oi the earth” is the enthusiastic description applied to Paragoni the strange little Dutch American town which is the scene of the latest lightning stunts of Douglas Fairbanks as the “Americano.” He rescues the rightful President smashes a’ revolution- —wins the hand of the President’s daughter—goes through a multitude of rapid stunts and never fails to wear, in happiness or trouble, the magnetic Fairbanks smile. “Tlie Americano” has more plot than any of Douglas Fairba'nk’s efforts and is listed as his best performance. The scenes are originally beau-tiful-—the tropical gardens and open air cabarets being extraordinarily beautiful.
The 11th. chapter of “Gloria’s Romance” “The Fugitive Witness’’ featuring Gloria (Billy Burke) seeking an explanation of Mulroy, the friend and companion of Fenian. He excites Gloria’s suspicion avoiding her even after she has rescued him from death.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. The Monster Sale of \V ork in aid of the Returned Soldiers , Rooms and patriotic works of The Overseas Club will take place at tho Princess Theatre on Thursday-and Friday. Particm.,.. of the stalls appear in this issue am* they will be found to be excellently stocked and prepared to stand the'siege of the bargain buyers. The bazaar will open to the public on Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock, and will continue that evening and Friday night, The. final clearing sale and drawing of tho nugget- raffle will take place on Saturday night. On Thuraday night the Overseas Orchestra will supply a special musical programme, for which purpose **e\ eial new items have been prepared. The orchestra is always popular and well received, and the. music will prove a pleasant addition to the evening’s entertainment. , On Friday night there will he a novelty programme submitted by the Woodstock pupils of Alls? A. E. Naneekivell, who "will subrpi.t the following items: —Marching Song . b> Soldiers; French bonnets by eight little maids; Chin Chin Chinaman by our latest-Allies; Fancy Club Swinging by five voung ladies; Song, “Keep Sauljn„ Mother,” and March, “Red, White and Blue” by the girls; National item, tin* “Song of Union.” Miss A Molls will lie the accompanist for this programme, which should draw a bumper attendance. -
