These show the stirring happenings in England to-day. Tho plot tells of a venerjible light-house keeper a .man who lias taken care of a harbour light located 1 _ on the oast coast of England twenty years is revered not only by the people in his own town but also by those in the surrounding districts. Beneath a kind, humorous and genial exterior this old man hid a very sad and aching heart. All those in distress both on. land and sea, looked to him as a guiding beacon. Tn bis heart is hidden tho sorrow of his life. Years ago his wife had left him for another, taking their in- • I fant daughter wtli her. When the | Great War breaks out, Robert Benson ; goes to the war, leaving his sweetheart; ! leaving the expectant mother to face I the shame alone. She flees to the old : light-house keeper for rofugo. Village ; gossip interferes, and the light-house i koeper is dismissed. When a successor ; iH in eliargo, a great air raid takes place over England; and tho light-house is ! blown to atoms. A transport is coming ashore without a light to guide it. The old Lighthouse keeper saves it by setting fire to his own cottage. On tho transport is the girl’s lover Rob.” they are united and in the girl is discovered the old man’s daughter.
