Grimmond was associateu, waited on the Minister of Education, with tlve request’ that he introduce legislation this session to give the Ni)rth Canterbury district special ward representation in the Canterbury Education Board, leaving Grey and Wetland intact as one ward, with two representatives. The matter was strongly urged as .supplying a measure of justice to a very important district in Canterbury which at present derives Its representation through the rather remote West Coast district. The ALinister gave a friendly hearing to the deputation and promised consideration if it was found this coma; be done this session.
