BRITISH REPORT. [“KKCTEK’s” IELEGRiM.] LONDON, Aug 13. Sir Douglas Haig reports: There is increased hostile artillery activity southward of the Arras-Cambrai road; also in the Nieuport sector. The enemy aircraft are aggressive. We brought' down seventeen machines. Several of ours are missing. LIVELY ARTILLERY DUELS. " LONDON, Aug. 13. , A French communique states: Artillery duels continue of a very lively character. Attempts to eject us from trenches captured south oF Allies were repulsed. \Vc, appreciably- progressed eastward. BRITISH REPORT. (Received This Dav at 11.25. a.m.l LONDON, Aug. 14. General Haig reports we made raids north-east of Couzeaueourt, eastward 1 of Vermilles. We repulsed a raid northward of Roeux. The enemy’s artillery was active between Ypres and Ijombaertizyde.
