Ifon Premier stated last night, that a hitch occurred in connecion with the gas trouble settlement and the men respecting tho proposals and conference of yesterday afternoon The W’atersidors also had not started to discharge tho coal from tho Kittawa for tho gas works. A further lengthy conference of the men was held last night. The results were not divulged but there are indications of an early settlement, possible, CENSURE DEFEATED. • [SYDNEY, This Day. In the Assembly the Censure motion cabled on July 7tb. was'defeavea by 46 to 25.
