Russian official.—Eastward of Tornopol we retired from Inder to Gniebdicjmo Gnioza rivers. ' Suporior forces penetrated our positions at Gneiza river, north-east of *Trambowla' and developed to the northeast, and forced our retirement in Trambowla region. Our counter/attacks were ineffective, owing to the low moral and reduced strength of the unitsThe enemy occupied Ja.nov, Budzanov and Zvi'eniagz on th© west bank of the Sereth. . The enemy’s heavies made an intense fixe on the east bank. We have begun to retire eastward of the Sereth. Certain unite continue their voluntary retirement, and others arc devotedly fulfilling their duty. Our retirement between the Sereth and Dneister, and between the Dneister and the Carpathians, continues. We evacuated Nijnieuv and Teumacz.
