FRIDAY, JULY 27th, 1917. (Before T. Hutchison, Esq., S.M.) sanitary by-laws. Borough Inspector (Mr Murdoch tor Mr Park) v. At. Dawson, a charge under the saa(i)t!ary byo-law. JVir Murdoch sard since last sitting defendant had complied with the by-law.— Charge withdrawn. \ Similar charges against A. Stapleton, J. McCabe and G. Anderson, having been similarly complied witto » also withdrawn. Same v. Ale*. Good, a charge of riding a bicycle on a footpath.—Fined 10s. SELLING FIREARMS. Police v. D. Jacobs, a charge of selling a firearm (an air-gun) to a lad under tho ago of 16. Defendant pleaded guilty. Sergt. Folley stated the gun was bought by a lad of ton years. Defendant said he was -very busy at the time and forgot that the law forbid him to sell the guni to a boy.—Fined 20s and costs 13s. DEBT CASES. J. A. Doctor (MrMurdoch) v. S. W. Richardson, claim £6 6s. —Judgment for plaintiff with costs 35s od. Keech and Malloy (Mr Murdoch) v. A. F. Harrison, claim £27 14s sd. Judgment for plaintiffs, less £5 paid, with costs £2 18s. H. Woods (Mr Wells) v. J. Dempsey, claim £5 19s Bd.—Judgment for plaintiff with costs 29s- 6d. * F. W. Thompson (Mr Wells) v. \V. H. Bisiiop, claim 15s.—-Judgment for plaintiff with costs ss. At a sitting of the Juvenile Court tliis morning, before Mr (Hutchison, S.M., a young lad on a charge of having possession of am. air-gun, was admonished and discharged, the weapon being forfeited. > In the case of Alfred Muir, a cuarnß of theft that was adjourned from the Ross Court on Wednesday, his Worship, after hearing a favourable police report, further adjourned the case for two weeks.
