There .was a narrow escape from a double fatality at the mouth of the Waitaha river on Monday. Roadman Black and Mr W’illiam Wright were crossing with ,a dray for the purpose of getting scrub. wnen they got into difficulties. Tho horse was drowned and tho dray disappeared. Both men had to swim for their lives. Neither horso nor dray bus been recovered.
