The yarding was not equal to the demand, with the result that pi-ices; especially lor beef, showed a sharp ' rise-. Messrs Mark -Sprot and Co- report, having sold on account of Mr I). Diedrichs 11 bullocks from £l7 2s fid to £l4 12s fid. 1 cow at £U 15s, 3 heifers at £lO os; on account of Mr D. Shannahai), 8 sheep at. 375; on account of client-, ]2sheep at 80s fid, 20 passed at 13s 9d.- The firm also sold privately .on account- of a client, 14 bullocks from £ls to £2O 7s fid, and ©o tat sheep at 89s.
