German official.—There is . increased fighting on the Riga front, southward of Dunaberg and at Smorgon, and strong artillery activity at Brzezany. \V e captured Carpathian heights eastward of Lomniea, and repulsed tlie counter-attacks. Mo forced back tho Russians on tho Lomniea lino. The artillery is more active in tho Snsita Valley, along the Putna and Seroth.
