The market was about equal for cows and heifers, and slightly easier for heavy steers. Best gteors brought to £2O 10s, medium £l6 10s to £lB 10s; heifers to £ls 1.55, cows £lO 10s to £l4 15s. The market was well above freezing limits. Store Oa-ttlo. —There was an indifferent yarding, mostly in dealers’ lines and bjg majority were passed at auction A nice pen of three-year old steers made £ll 17s 6d and two-year oldfi .£7 to £7 16s; yearlings £6 to 13s 6d; dry cows £6 to £9. Fa x Sheep There was a small \arding, mostly of wethers of exioetieni quality. Prices were good and the market keen throughout. Rest wethers sold up to 52s> prim© 88s to 455, medium 134 s to 3’s Bd, light and inferior 80s to 335, but very few of this ela«** were yarded, owing to the. keen demand fo- stores. Ewes were very few in number, hut firm at lost week’* rates. Store Sheep. There was a small entry, and good demand for all sorts. (Best two-tooth ewes sold up to 45s 6d, sound-mouth ewes from 80b to 38s 6dJ; beet TjRs to - 345, bant hogget* up to 28s.
