Lord Dalmeny oldest son of Earl of Roseberry advertised in the London newspapers of June 27th. that he will not he responsible for the debts of his wife, who is tho youngest daughter of tho late Lord Henry C.rosvcnor, and sister of tho present Duke of Westminister. They wore married in 1909. and have two children. Lord Dalmeny was wounded during tho fighting in France in 1915. WAR CORRESPONDENT KILLED. The first war correspondent killed at the front since the war began met his end near Lens struok down by a sniper’s bullet. This was M. Basset, the special correspondent with the Bri- < tish Forces of the Paris newspaper “T.e Petit Pariseri.” Tho stretchor-bearej r> tried to bring in M. Basset, on which the Germans sent a hurricane of Bullets and also rained shells on tho spot for half an hour. Some of tho junior officers have taken instructional bourses ait the Geneva and Lausanne Universities. The men at Ourren and other plaoes are receiving instruction in motor-driving, book-keeping and grand carpet-making.
