Official —The French attacked Comulofc as far as Hochberg, southeastward of Hafroy.. The attack* was repulsed. The enemy twice penetrated parts of tho first line of trenches at Hochberg. Counter-attacks drove them out. There was a lively aerial activity Three enemy aeroplanes were brougnt down. Russian attacks, between Konuiohy and Lawrymouoe all heaf ily. An enemy armoured' motor car was shot ’to pieces. Enemy attacks northward of Milo©zow Tarnopol railway, Batk»w, and points in the Carpathian foreland failed. .
. THE COST OF THE WARAMSTERDAM, July 7. In the Reichstag Herr von Roedern announced! that the cost of the war from February to May had averaged 3,000,000 marks monthly ( daily).
