Private H. Stew-art, third son of Airs I. E. Stewai-t, of Hokitika, and brother of Air W. Stewart of the Hokitika Gas Works, is reported wounded in France. This is thy second occasion.
. xiss Blewman, of Kaiata has received advice from the Minister of Defence that her brother James had been missing 7th. 1 James and Miffba*u Blewman lei*- 1 with, the lSftli Reinforcements Airs. E. Stratford and Mrs. Wood of Aratika, are sisters. Mr M. Blewman, of Kaiata, ,is the father.
Private Edward R, Taffe has been killed in ,action. Deceased want from Roefton with the 11th Reinforce- 1 merits and leaves wifo and thro© children, the former being a daughter of Mr and Airs Griffen, of Reefton, who have five sons on active service. The deceased was native of Queensland, and for many years prior to enlistment worked in the Globe mine.
