LATE LOCALS.
The funeral of the late Mrs J J • Williams, of Beach Street, took place this afternoon and was largely attended, those present including members of tile Druids’ tLodge, of which four members acted at pall hearers. The Rev J. 'E. Holloway conducted the services at All Saints Church and the graveside. Despite the fact that he is suffering from a painful accident t° ins ankle and still in hospital in Essex, Driver H. T. Thomas writes a cheery letter to Mr. C. M. Malfroy, his former employer, ‘ and supplies him with available news. The ankle is giving the young soldier considerable pain, and the doctors had j resolved to X Ray the foot to determine what complications were causing the ' troubles and delaying recovery.
