Sinn Feiners attacked a' recruiting office and the relatives of men at the front resented it- Police baton . charges werb in effectual and the military with machine guns were called out. Tli 0 police were repeatedly stoned and - had jfco - act drastically. Shifts wore fired one mtpi boing killed and another woufadbesides a dozen wounded with'baynets. The disorders were quelled at m jdniglit.
