Coys, will not materiallv affect the general position of th© Union Coy. nor the methods of management and shipping sendees •Especial satisfaction is felt over the emphatic statement, that th© interests of the Dominion will bo conserved, and that headquarters control is unaffected. One of the Union Coys, fleet is being deviated from her course to visit tbo vicinity of tbo abandbmnont of the AVaitotara and investigate the oxrtent of the damage don© to th© vessel. 'Latost advice reports the vessel is .burning briskly for© and aflfc. Tho crew is now in Noumea and is being well cared for. Arrangements are being made for tbeir return to New Zealand.
