Mr. Hamilton Fyffe writing from the front states that the - Alpmi stormed Comokavonto height 10,000 feet in height, overcoming enormous difficulties. Wearing skis they approached tho forts built in the solid ice which was sometimes eighteen feet V.hick. Such fantastic, conditions are common hereabouts. Th» Italians were dressed from head to foot in white. Their vigorous attack resulted in complete victory. The surprised Austrians fled downhill, leaving gums, ammunition and stores. Thej small operation, skilfully placed and executed with small loss, gives tho Italians an overlooking position.
