GERMAN PEACE MISSION. NOT WANTED IN RUSSIA. [“retjter’s” telegram.] i PETROGRAD, June 17. Hoffmann requested the Swiss Minister to comiminicate his offer through Robert Grimm, a Swiss citizen who came to Petrograd- in the middle of May, ostensibly acting as a guide. Returning Russian refugees have novv announced that the Provisional Government ordered the expulsion of Grimm, because dt has evidence that he .is a Pacifist German agenx.
Grimm has already left Russia. The Duma 'adopted a resolution that n separate peace or prolonged inactivity On the fronts would be ignoo.e treason to the Allies. That the maintenance of Russia’s safety and liberties depended on an immediate resumption th° offensive. A general congress of the Council ,f Workmen and Soldiers’ delegates has opened at Chfidge. The President of the Petrograd Council was elected presided. It approved of the expulsion of Grimm by 640 to 121 votes, the opinion being that his expulsion was essential in tht interest of the Russian revolution and international Socialism.
WOMEN FIGHTERS
PETROGRAD, June 18
Battalions of women have been formed at Petrograd, Moscow and elsewhere, and aro drilling hard, intending to fight to shame the mqn. Sailors from Kronstadt incited the peasants in Mohiloff district to &p» and divide the lands. At Odessa women have formed a “death legion,” and formally ask leave to fight.

Despatches from Petrograd state M. Kerensky has discarded persuasion, for the Iron hand of discipline and will force the armies to fight. He has ordered deserters to be 'deprived of the franchise, and participation in the lands distribution.
