WASHINGTON, June 15.

The Italian mission has announced that it has received an official despatch from Rome stating that the Government, will send a demand to Russia lor an explicit statement of her future stand in' the war. "It is understood' that the other Allies will make a like demand.

WASHINGTON, June 15,

The Italian mission’s announcement state that the Entente has concluded that Russia’s position will affeot the Allies’ plans especially an regards their miiltarv operations in tlio near future but no "action by Russia can irreparably damage the Allies’ cause. Japan is expected to prevent a Russian-German Alliance.

A Rome communique says that in view of the expressed willingness of the Entente to revise their terms of their alliance, as it relates to their, wan aims, it is left that Russia should not further delay her decision in order to render the pro-German tendencies on the part of the Russians vain.
