WEDDING BELLS.

CONNOR-HORNSBY.

At, T.rinity Church Kumara on Monday a pretty wedding was celebrated, the contracting parties being Mr, Gilbert Connor (of Ruru),. fourth son of the late Jame s Connor, and Miss Hazel Hornsby, also of Rum. The Rev. CL L. Wilson way the officiating clergyman.

The bride, who was given away by her brother. .Mr.. Richard Ilornsby, was becomingly attired in a lawn suiting costume.' with hat to match. She carried a beautiful bouquet ,tho gilt of Mrs R. C. Hell, sister of the bride* groom. Miss L. Mdiner (Ivnnieri) cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and wore si white hat with blue streamers. and carried a beautiful' bouquet. f ' Mr. Scott of R uru, tilled the role of best man. ' The bridegroom’s gift .. to the bride was a beautiful diamond and supple re ring, and to the bridesmaid a pretty j amethyst brooch. The bride’s gilt to the bridegroom was a fine set of nidifare brushes, inscribed • ! Oil leaving the Church the party were greeted with showers of confetti . and rice, and good wishes. The happy couple were the recipients of many messages of congratulation, and valuable and useful pregents.'. In the evening they left for Rum, their future home, bringing with them the good wishes of a large* number of friends. ,
