FREEZING BEYERS OPERATING

Matson and Co. report on to-day’s stock sale, at Addington as follows: Fat Cattle. —'There was a very large yarding, and the quality was exceptionally good. Freezing buyers were operating strongly, and the sale, all through, was highly satisfactory. Best steers sold up to £2l 10/-, ordinary £l6 10/- to £lB 10/-, heifers £lB to £l® cows £lO 10/- iu £ld and up to £ls for extra. ' SSt-oro, Cattle. —There was a very small yarding, and practically all were small "* lots, and practically no sales wore, made that could be quoted as standard prices. Buyers were keen for forward conditioned cows and good quality steers, and decent lines ot this description are hard do get. Fat Sheep.—There was a large yarding, and the quality was mixed. Prices all round were slightly easier than last week. ' Best wethers sold to 50/6, prune 30/0 to 39/-, lighter 29/- to 32/6, ewes to 40/6, prime ;30/- (to 36/-, lighter 22/- to 27/6. - • Store Sheep.—There was a fairly large entry, but a .smaller attendance of "buyers. Prices were about the same as last week. There was keen competition for good forward wethers and young ewes.
