NEW LABOR ORGANISATION.
A cording to “Industrial Tramp <% movement is afoot in Auckland for the formation of a new Labour organisation. “The war,” writes “Industrial Tramp” “has been the cause of a wide diversity of opinion in theLabour world and seeing thalt the existing organisatons are strongly anti-war in their opinions and actions, Mliere is a widespred opinion that an organisation that will engage the attention and support of the large majority of the working class would have general approval. .In Auckland this feeling has become pronounced that the Auckland-Trades Tlall trustees have decided to convene a meeting of offic ers and executives ’of the unions an which the formation of an organisation more in accord with public opinion will be considered. Circulars are being sent to the Auckland unions asking them to send their executives Ito a meeting to. be held in the Trades Hall ag (the end of June to discuss a proposal to form a League or Council for the Auckland district. From opinions that na*e already been expressed by. unionists whose organisations are nolt affiliated with any organisation at present it is anticipated there will be a big response to the invitation an!d that an. organisation will be formed that will be a true reflex of the opinion of Auckland unionists.”
