ADDINGTON STOCK SALES

Messrs Matson and Co. report m connection with yesterday’s stock sale .at Addington:— Fat Sheep.—There was only a small yarding owing to weather conditions. 'The market opened firm, at last week’s rates, and gradually improved to tv 2s rise at the finish. Fat wethers, best, brought up to 48s 3d, prim© 35s 6d to 40s, lighter 29s to 34s 6d ; ewes heist to 445, prime 32s to 36s 6d, lighter 29s to 31s, unfinished 21s to 255. ■ Store Shoep.—Thera was a . small yarding, mostly made up of good forward wethers, which sold well. Bost wethers realised from 30s to 36s 2d, best young ewes from 30s to 3os, dcsb culls brought the same as last week; inferior qorts were unchanged from last week. Fait, Cattle.—There was a medium entry, including several extra prime lines. The, market was quite equal to previous sales, and freezing buyers were operating strongly. Best steers brought up to - £24, medium weights £l6 10s to £l9, best cows to £l6 10s, others £l2 to £l4, heifers £ll 10 S to £ls 15s. Store Cattle.—-There was a small entry, and no docent sized lines. The yarding was composed principally / of dry cows, which sold well at Up to £9, very forward two year old steers made £l3, yearlings and eighteen months old £3 15 to £6 7s. The demand exceeded the supply.
