MAGISTRATE'S COURT, HOKITIKA
Wednesday, May 30. (Before T. Hutchison, Esq ,S,M.) BORCUGII BYE-LAWS. Police v E. J. Finch, a charge of riding a bicycle on a footpath in Hall Street, a plea of guilty, being entered. Sergt Follev stated that this with several others was tha first of charges under the new Borough bye-laws, and he asked that a conviction without fins bo made, bo a- to give due warning. Convicted and discharged without fine, on the understanding that defendant would not offsud again. Similar charges against P. Cillao. H. J. Hart, J. Fitzgerald, C. Gibbons (and also with oycliog without a light) D. Jellie, were eimila-ly dealt with, convictions without fines being recorded.
