The scow Haere arrived at Onehunga on Friday evening, storm beaten and bearing signs of having had a rough time on the coast (says the Auckland “Star”). The little sailer left Kaipara some days ago with a cargo of rails for Greymouth, and she made her way as far as Cape Egmont, but the strong winds blew her back. Again she made the Cape, but waj.severely buffeted, and was again blown back. The Haere had a good supply of oil aboard, but for which she would probably not have been able to reach Onehunga. Oil bags were put out for forty-eight hours, The severity of the weather taxed the strength of the eoow, and when she had made the greater part of the way baok towards the Mann, kau she was leaking.
