Dunedin, May 26 The Returned Soldiers’ Association Conference passed a resolution that a Minister for returned soldiekß be appointed forthwith, to deal with matters generally concerning men bick from the front. It was pointed out that probably a hundred thousand men would return at the gloss of the war, and require settling on the land or in Borne civil capacity, and a special department should he created, so that they should not be left to drift aad become a burden on their parents and relations. The State should begin now and devise a scheme, and not wait until the men were here.
