KUMARA HOSPITAL.
Protest From Kumara
In reply to a message from the Mayor of Kumars, protesting against the closing of Kumara Hospital, Mr J. A. Murdoch has received a message from the Acting Premier stating that he has conferred with the Hou G. W. Russell, Minister fcr Hospitals, and learns, owing to the acute shortage of medical men, especially on the West Coast, the position is a difficult one. The Minister of Hospitals, how* ever, intends to pay an early visit to the Cor.Bt to look into ihe roarer. Mr Murdoch has re, hod thanking Sir James Allen for hia reply, and suggesting t lat on the occasion of the Minister’s visit a j >iat confereacs between the members of.the Biard, representatives of Kamera and district and the Minister should be held.
