London, May 22 ' The newspaper “Irish Independent’* declares that Government has abandoned the partition remedy, and therefore it is a pure waste of time for a convention to discuss it, Ireland will not be content with anything short o£ a fall colonial Home Rale. The “ Irish Times ” states the convention, to have a chance of success, -must disonss the partition. “ Fre6man’a Journal ” applauds the convention.
