Explosion in Forepeak, ’ No Serious Damage Gisborne, May 21 An explosion aboard the Arabur? caused no structural damage, and tbc vessel resumed her voyage last evening. The partitions between the firemen’s quarters, steward's and glory hole, and two passenger cabins on the port side were shattered by a blast of air, following the explosion which occurred in the forepeak. The main saloon on the bulkhead was thrown out of plumb. The boats warn, N. Somers, was making h?s usual rounds souoding the wells and bilges and entsied ths forepeak at 7 15 a.m. imagining the bulkhead between the forepeak and No 1 bold prevented any danger from gas, he lit his candle to enable him to unscrew the cap of the sounding well. Interesting Actions New Plymouth, May 18 At the Supreme Court three actions by milk suppliers against factories were beard. In two oases the question waa whether suppliers also holders, but who only took milk to a factory during part of a season, were entitled to a bonus, the articles of association defining bona fide suppliers as shareholders supplying the whole of their milk daring the season. Plaintiffs sued for a bonus. Decision was reserved. ' -

In the remaining case plaintiff was a non-shareholder up to the end of the financial year, but acquired shares by transfer before the bonus was declared, Aa the defendant company had deducted money on aocount of the shares from monthly cheques, plaintiff claimed that he was entitled to rank as a shareholder. In the alternative he claimed that the parties ranked as vendor rr purchaser or principal and agent, and that ha should be paid "a reasonable price. Decision was reserved.
